Love Poems - Music Hath Charm
I watch him play the guitar
Strong fingers dance a pattern
One hand strums to the beat
Silently I listen
Admiring, I wish to imitate
My fingers supple, weak not strong
Determined they dance a pattern
But I falter, fail to hold a beat
I've got no rhythm
But he has
I've got no rhythm
To rhyme
Nor reason
I've got no rhythm
Oh but he has
I lost my beat
No rhyme
Nor reason
I've got no rhythm
Can't strum no harmony for him
Oh lord have mercy
For all I still wonder
If I got no rhythm
To rhyme
Nor reason
Lord, does he?
Strong fingers dance a pattern
One hand strums to the beat
Silently I listen
Admiring, I wish to imitate
My fingers supple, weak not strong
Determined they dance a pattern
But I falter, fail to hold a beat
I've got no rhythm
But he has
I've got no rhythm
To rhyme
Nor reason
I've got no rhythm
Oh but he has
I lost my beat
No rhyme
Nor reason
I've got no rhythm
Can't strum no harmony for him
Oh lord have mercy
For all I still wonder
If I got no rhythm
To rhyme
Nor reason
Lord, does he?
